Battle for the Edge is the second story in my fanfiction series, based off of the third School of Dragons expansion pack, Battle for the Edge. It takes place three months after Journey to Icestorm Island, and during those months, a warlock named Rohan who is a warlock (and a realm hopper like Shannon) made an attempt to curse the Legends but the spell only effected Snart. What the spell did was it would weaken the body of it's victim every time they traveled through time (the farther back they go, the more it effects them). So, Snart's stuck in 2018 until Shannon can find a way to break his curse. Which is why I included our favorite reformed criminal in this story. That, and you know, his sparkling personality. Without further a due, I hope you enjoy Battle for the Edge.

This is a rewrite of my old story, Battle Scars. There will be a few plot changes but nothing too major. ---------------------------- The Alryne tribe was known to be a very power-hungry group of Vikings, however they have remained quiet for generations. Now the tribe has faded into legend. However, their current leader, Brendan the Battle Winner, has found the location of the King of Dragons. And he wants it for himself. It is located on the island of Berk, but that island is known to have dragon-riding warriors who have defeated villains such as Viggo Grimborn and even Drago Bludvist, so he must plan carefully. He starts by sending out a group of scouts lead by his daughter Brenna, and in that group is a girl named Alice Flarson. On their journey to Berk, they are attacked by one of the rarest and feared dragons in the world: the Flightmare. A dragon that glows as bright as the sun and is capable of freezing its enemies in fear. The dragon is struck down, but Alice finds it injured on the small island where the group temporarily set up camp. She frees the dragon and flees back to her camp, but as time goes on she finds herself going back to find the dragon and even befriending it. During all of this she discovers a side to dragons that no one from her tribe ever saw, and she makes it her job to warn the chief of Berk before Alryne can take the king of dragons and put the entire dragon kind at jeopardy. War against Alryne is inevitable, but Alice thinks she might be able to help Berk prepare for the battle ahead.

With the help of a dare, Twilight's gotten Rainbow Dash to read the first book in Twilight's favorite series, "Keeper of the Lost Cities" by Shannon Messenger. However, Rainbow Dash gets hooked, and a couple of days later, she's asking Twilight for the next book in the series. As Twilight goes over the next day to give her the next book, she finds Rainbow Dash and Sunset Shimmer's things... only they weren't around. All that remained were their things and the glowing "Keeper of the Lost Cities" book. Curious and worried, the rest of the Equestria Girls come close to the book, and they get sucked in. Now in the world of the book, they find themselves meeting twelve year old Sophie Foster, who's been a freak ever since she cracked her head open at five and started hearing human thoughts. The only person who seems to understand is Sunset, who is strangely starting to hear mental voices as well. It's around this time they meet Fitz Vacker, who goes in and changes Sophie and the Equestria Girls' lives forever. Soon, they go to the Lost Cities, and when Alden Vacker gives the news about Sophie having to leave her human family, he also explains that, due to the discovery, the Equestria Girls have to stay in the Lost Cities as well. He's completely aware that they had been sucked into the story, and for good reason. He also says that they need to split when it came to relocating them, just so nothing bad would happen. As the girls go through Sophie's journey of discovering her true self as one of the most powerful elves in the Lost Cities, they make friends, fall in love, and discover unimaginable powers they never expected to have before this. However, with this new life comes secrets. Sophie's life isn't like the other elves. She has a secret past, one Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Sunset may also be connected to. A secret people would kill for... Disclaimer: Equestria Girls belong to Hasbro. Keeper of the Lost Cities belongs to Shannon Messenger.
