[Guess what? I don't own the title of Borderlands or anything to do with the franchise. They belong to Gearbox, 2K, and all their original creators!!] Have I hit rock bottom? Am I really doing this? Yeah. I totally am... Upon waking up in an unlikely situation, you find your life is now in complete disarray. Your home, along with everything else you once knew is destroyed. Luckily, you were spared a terrible fate by being saved by an accident by one of the biggest Hyperion enemies EVER...It's Gaige! (Who didn't intend on saving anyone during her expedition and attack inside the compound you were being held in...) She has now put you under her wing as someone who could modify and tinker with her weapons. However, your relationship with her begins to blossom into something much more personal... ...Upon replaying the Borderlands series, I remembered that I really did like Gaige (the WORLDS GREATEST ENGINEER EVER). Her dialog is unique, funny, and seriously entertaining. So, being bored I decided to check the fan fiction with her name tagged on. A lot of it, was poorly written (in my opinion, no hate) and decided to dab my own take on being a possible lover in her life during her entry into Pandora. "Difficulty; Jack of hearts." The story starts at the Jack of Hearts game in season 2, and follows the series until the group is back in the real world. I mostly follow canon, but two games are rewritten so we can take part in them (Jack of Diamonds and King of Hearts). Sirena has no memory of her past as she awakens on the nautiloid. She doesn't just feel the tadpole behind her eye, working its way into her brain. She also feels something deeper...darker. The worm is being overshadowed by the constant desire- no NEED to kill...kill...KILL. Her only mission is to get revenge on those who have left her with only a name and this need to destroy. Everything else, her experiences, battles, and relationships will slowly reveal her past; whether it is useful or disturbing is another problem. However, her past is known to a select few. She will go on to find out she does indeed have a reason for the twitch she feels when a knife is in her hand. A reason why her body sings along with every strike of a blade against anything that moves. She is the daughter of Bhaal himself, the lord of murder. He sired not only her sweet name but the incessant desire for murder. She was trained in the arts of delightful music aswell as blades. Why? Because Bhaal's chosen must be so despicable that they can use honeyed words to convince their prey to commit their own murder, command a room of people to drop with the most angelic of Melodies. Her power resides in words because it was his desire, but her skills were moulded into something far more deadly. How she became lost with this urge is the main question pounding against her skull, but whoever did this didn't think of one thing. Sirena may have forgotten...but she will never forgive. Will she decide to resist this urge and get her revenge? Especially when it comes to those she will grow to love? Well...let's hope the dice roll in her favour. (This is a series I've created in honour of my durge run that I just had to write about. All inspired by conversations, events or areas through the course of the game.
