David Young recently moved to Hawkins, Indiana from New York with his parents because his mom got a new job. Life's rough at home, so he spends as much time as he can away from it.
When he first moves in, he tries to keep to himself--but it's kind of hard to do that when the girls keep fawning over him and some guy and his friends keep harassing him.
He eventually caves-in and takes a girl up on her offer to go to the famous "King" Steve's party.
