Chiyo Orochi has always been afraid. Throughout her life all she knew was to never trust anybody.
Haruka Nanami had been her only friend. The only person she could truly trust in this unjust world
was Haruka. She had stuck with her throughout all the hardships in her life. She didn't treat her like a victim, but like a normal person.
She always thought she never deserved someone so kind-hearted and talented like Haruka as a friend. However, once Haruka began attending Saotome Academy, they grew apart. They tried to write to each other often, due to Chiyo not trusting technology. Eventually the letters from Chiyo stopped coming, and Haruka's schedule got filled.
After Starish's debut, Haruka tried to get in contact with her childhood friend but she came up empty.
She tried to get a hold of Chiyo's living relatives but they seemed to just avoid her, it seemed obvious to Haruka that they knew where she was and didn't want anybody to know.
Her mood dwindled as time flew by and the boys seemed to notice this. They grew concerned for their friend and crush.
Until one day a letter arrives addressed for Haruka, Nanami
