This is about a young woman named Raven Jade, who grew up thinking everything is normal until her twenty first birthday and everything changes. She finds out that she is a Shifter. A Supernatural being able to change form at will, one of many species. Even the people she grew up with since they were in elementary are supernaturals too. She gets a major power boost and needs to come to terms with her new self. To control her new powers and learn to live as a furry. She comes to find out there's more to being a furry than meets the eyes. The people she meets on this new adventure are drawn to her as much as she is to them. She gains more power with each new strain. And with the witch's blood, the ability to heal others and communicate telepathically. She's learning as she goes and figures out a way to help stop her sister's shift and save her sister's unborn child. Furries are so beautiful and come with some yummy energy. She just wants to eat them up. ~*~ The alley that takes me to my car smells disgusting like something had died in it, it was dark, a dim light here and there with noises that sounded like a raccoon was in a garbage can. A fat rat scurried across my path, damn thing scared the sh*t out of me. My heart pounding I looked down watching for the rat as I left the alley and not paying attention to my surroundings. I walked straight into someone. Mumbling my apologies while I step to the left of him. He stepped with me. Excusing myself I tried to move to the right of him, he followed me again. As I looked up I realized he wasn't alone. There were three more guys in a small circle surrounding me. What the hell just kids, ages 14 to 18.

I had been running for what felt like hours. My legs were burning, and I knew my body was about to give out. The tears that had long since dried still clung to my face. I was covered in bruises and cuts from tearing through the forest. Everything hurt-not just my body, but my heart as well. Just hours ago, I was at a motel with my mom, arguing about dinner, and now she was gone. She killed herself to protect me. That's what I keep telling myself, but deep down, I know it's not true. She was tired of running, tired of hiding. The hunters were close, too close, and to avoid being captured and tortured again, she decided to exit on her own terms. I had to get out of here fast. But I had nowhere to go, nowhere to run or hide-still, I kept going. Thankfully, I had good instincts and the one lesson my mother ever taught me: shapeshifting. I just needed to throw them off my trail. I glanced over my shoulder to see if I could spot any pursuers, but that was a mistake. I tripped and hit my head on a rock, and everything went black.

Moving back is challenging enough, but the revelation of supernaturals makes it almost terrifying, and the fact that her next-door neighbors are shapeshifters makes it even more horrifying. However, her mysterious neighbors help reveal a huge secret in her past that's going to make her life even more difficult and she has no idea how she's going to be able to navigate her even more complicated life.
