This is a world where surviving wasn't... surviving. Living hurts. This is a world where even horror die-hard fans would rather not be in. For you to live, you have to be insane. Take a moment to ask yourselves these questions: What would you do in the name of survival? Would you steal to survive? Would you kill to survive? Would you lose your mind to survive? If you lost your mind, do you think you'd kill more, steal, injure, backstab, rape or any other atrocity you can think of? If you can think of it, then maybe you would. The characters and situations in this book are very real, if gore or horrific mental images scare you, then I wouldn't recommend reading far. DESCRIPTION: The Infection claimed the lives of over 3 billion people before the TV's went off. But it would claim many more. The problem didn't arise when those people got up and started walking again, or even when they started eating and infecting others, it began when people got desperate. The helmet then forces itself onto Ryan's head, giving him strange superpowers that are truly out of this world. The group of friends, led by their new alien companion, embark on an exciting journey around the futuristic city of Cyberlantis, making new friends along the way and discovering some of the city's secrets from years passed by. However, throughout their adventure, the five friends cant help but feel that somebody is watching their every move... Originally, I created this book for my graphic art A level course, and since then I have expanded it into a two part series, both featuring hand drawn illustrations by me. The illustrations get much better in quality as the story goes along as my digital drawing skills grew overtime as I wrote the story.

The year was 2157 when Earth crumbled and governments fell. Most living things died and their was a silence on earth that was deafening. The first particles of disease fell in North America in the Spring of 2157 and began to scatter and mutate into virus and bacteria. Bombs sailed through cities leveling Government buildings, business and residential. Historians call this period Decay. Ricin poisoning and nerve gases were released. Citizens began to fall ill and die quickly. Later historians found out that a few middle east countries, China and Russia poisoned all food with Ricin. The food was then shipped to US, Canada, UK, many European countries. This period is only known as "Decay' Some humans survived. Either from paranoia or luck, so the stories go. The paranoid ones were waiting for the first signs of a fallout and when it began they hid in their underground 'storage containers'. These were completely sealed once someone closed the door. The doors were automated and within 2 to 5 years depending on the setting chosen the doors would automatically open. The history of the 'lucky ones' is that they knew someone who had a container and welcomed them, or they hid in the container until the family that owned it got in and sealed the door. And hope they would not be killed for trespassing. Now it is 2243. The world has drastically changed. In this world the 'Owners' and 'Potentials' rule the 'communities'. Guards police, keeping communities separated. The Powers rule over what was once called North America now simply called East Nation North (ENN). Superiors handle their community they are assigned to. Under the Powers, Superiors, Water Protectors, Guards, owners and potentials come the animal breeders next on the hierarchy. Then the last three levels don't really matter to anyone. Those are the baby breeders, slaves and throwaways. They have no say in anything.

As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise.
