Gadget just wants to live like everyone else who stays in the city. Him and his brother have been through thick and thin with his friends by their sides. When Eggman takes over the entire world, there's only one way to get it back, and that is to resist. The only problem is that the band of rebels are too weak to fight. That is, until a long shot of an escape plan is successful, and they band with another Resistance force.

(So, a few things to mention. 1: This takes place during Sonic Forces. If you never heard of it, don't read this. 2: I don't have much preference to Sonic Forces, so bear with me. I'm throwing a few other things outside of the story in as well. 3: Told in Gadget's viewpoint. 4: There will be language, [that means swearing] unlike the game, uncensored. 5: This will have some LGBT+ content in it. Will they stop him without being captured by the villains of this world? Or will the villain rise to the top, rendering the heros useless? Eventual Sonadow, Rougeknux, Blazeamy, and Mephilver. 16+ there are adult themes and topics in this book not suitable for minors, nothing explicit, which is why I put 16+ rather than 18+. Sonic Forces: The Untold Story by SuperScourge161

As many Sonic fans are aware, Sonic Forces didn't live up to our expectations. Barebones, linear gameplay, overly forced "nostalgia", and a story that felt extremely half-baked. That's why I've decided to completely rewrite and revamp the story of Sonic Forces in the alternate take of the game. I've gone through the game's script and made some very heavy changes to improve upon the story. (gameplay is a whole other thing, I'll leave that to modders). Everything there is perfect. Freedom, food, clothing, everything you need is provided by the government of this city. But once you make it out things are way different. A war is happening and the citizens are unaware, too cozy with their "perfect" lives to notice how the government they love so dearly has been experimenting and creating "weapons" right under their noses. The Werebeast, the governments weapon to winning the war, has escaped from their control with their proud inventor. ___ Or- Sonic and Tails are on the run from the government outside the city. Someone is sent after the famous Werebeast. The most famous name outside the city has enemy's coming his way every second.

This fan fiction will go into detail about Shadow's complicated past, and will start with his creation on the ARK. Shadow is battling memories, mind-control, and struggling to find his true identity. Is he a Hero? A Villain? A Mercenary who cares for nothing but self gain? Or will he withhold nothing in his quest for revenge? He must discover who he truly is, and in the process, unearth the truth behind Maria's TRUE last request. I portray Shadow as a character who is torn between personalities.
