My Best Friend, My Lifesaver

Ever since me and Tanner met when we were five years young, we've been best friends since then.
Now I'm 17 and Tanner Zagarino is 19, (don't worry I'm turning 18 pretty soon). We go to school together and even though we aren't in the same classes, we hang out most days after school. He may not know this but I really do like him, and I want him to feel the same way if other girls weren't all over him.
TANNER POV*
Hey my name is Tanner Zagarino and I'm a lifeguard at the local lake. I go to beacon ridge high school in L.A. I'm too scared to tell Violet Brookes this and I hope she doesn't know this , but I really like her, but boys are all over her.

I wanted to talk to Violet today, but I felt like everything would just be awkward because I'm not the kind of person who can just talk to their crush, it's hard. I don't know what to say to her or how to say it. Even though every time I do talk to her I start to sweat. I know that tomorrow is going to be different.
