Alexander Hamilton is selectively mute, depressed, and just altogether damaged. His soulmate, John Laurens, knows it too, from the overwhelming waves of sadness he feels occasionally to the aching pains in his forearms. John wishes that he could help him, but he knows nothing about his soulmate. However, the odds are in Alexander and John's favor when Alex enrolls in Kings College, where John is a student. John might find Alex, but will it be in time? Can he save him from James Reynolds?
WARNINGS: There is rape, angst, depression, cursing, and lots of other stuff that is inappropriate for young reader. I can't stop you though.
Basically how the soulmate thing works like:
When you kiss your soulmate, a band in your skin forms on your left ring finger. You can change the band to look however you want.
If your soulmate is feeling a strong emotion, your soulmate feels it too.
If you get hurt, your soulmate feels a muffled version of that pain.
Yes I used a Heathers quote as the title FIGHT ME (Don't actually I'm weak, there's a reason I act instead of playing sports) (Not that acting/dancing/singing isn't hard but ya).
I really had no idea what I was doing when I started writing this so sorry if it's weird or things don't make sense.

Oh my god, this was written in fifth grade (with attempts to edit and fix it in 9th before promptly giving up) and I thought it was peak writing at the time. Reuploading it for the sake of not having to re-explain the plot to my friends while I redo the story. Enjoy 🫶🏾 - - - - - - I wrote this book in order to cope with things going on in my life. It's not the best, but it gets better as you keep reading. The last chapter is personally my favorite because I think I did my best writing towards the end. I know I'm not the best author, but I'm trying my best. Please don't hate me:( This book also contains mentions of suicide, ED, depression, foul language, discrimination against LGBTQ+, abuse, rape, and more. If any of these things happen to trigger you, I recommend that you don't read it for your own safety. There are offensive slurs directed towards LGBTQ+ community, but I want you all to know that I have nothing against them. I support them and this book was also written to bring attention to things people don't like to see or talk about or acknowledge. Alexander Crow has a name on his wrist like everyone else. That name is the name of your soulmate. The only problem with him is that his soulmate is another guy, Ryan Creak, and it keeps changing. Although it's pretty normal to have gay people around, Alexander is an exception. No one chooses to do anything when seeing him be attacked by people due to his sexuality. Everyone sees him the same way. A gay, lifeless, freak. It's highly uncommon to have the condition he has and since no one is used to it, they choose to fight it. Fight him. When the quiet college student Alexander Hamilton arrives at Kings College, he automatically feels like something was gonna go completely wrong. Similar to most things in the young boy's life. Unfortunately, his suspicions were correct. He found out he had to share a dorm with none other than his enemy from high school, Thomas Jefferson. Thomas had bullied Alex countless times during their senior year of high school, (when Alex transferred,) and Alex hadn't gotten over it when he saw him again. I mean, who would be all cool with their roomie that made them cut themselves? But anyways, over time, Alex notices that Thomas isn't the basic bully that he seems, and there's a lot more to him that what he previously saw. And the more of Thomas he saw, the more he started to love him. Would Thomas return those feelings? Or would he make Alex's life a living hell for confessing his feelings? (DISCLAIMER!! I was 11 or 12 when I wrote this and had no grasp on the proper language and behavior for fanfic. I said a lot of inappropriate stuff in this book, and I have altered what I could in light of becoming older and recovering from the really awful experience that made me act out the way I did. Some parts are important to the story, so I can't erase them. But I will put trigger warnings for almost smut and self-h*rm. And maybe some stereotypes and insensitive language, as I was uneducated about lgbtq and how it can be appropriately represented by a straight woman. To anyone I've made uneasy in any way, I'm sorry. I was a real annoying and inappropriate writer. I've been a lot more friendly about my books since this, and my family and friends have helped me see how mentally messed up I was when I was writing this. I feel sick to my stomach thinking I once wrote like this and conducted myself in this manner. Please forgive me. I've learned a lot in the four years since I wrote this. But everyone also knows that relationships just don't last like they used to, especially high school ones. So what happens when they go to separate schools in New Jersey? John Laurens seems to find himself fascinated in his new art school, invested with his new friends.
