After all, I'm just a suicidal girl who tried to kill herself by pointing a gun to her head. I don't belong here in this hellhole. I don't want a roommate who's crazy in the head. Suffering alone inside of your mind from a terrifying mental disorder, is something that even those who battle such a thing every day, cannot fully understand. It's like being alone 24/7 yet it's never quiet inside of your head. You can't stop the voices. You can't control your emotions. As it gets worse, you lose control of your body all together. You become prey to your disease and You can't fight back. That is what it's like for someone who has spent years of their life suffering in silence from an eating disorder. Fighting a monster that you have no chance of beating. It's almost impossible to describe the type of torture that consumes your mind. Hell. It's equivalent to pure hell.

What matters now is I'm getting help, right? That's what they tell me here. They tell me that the road to recovery feels like a terrible butt fuck, but the fact that you're on the path to begin with, is all that matters. So as I sit in this circle of fuck ups, I realize just how different I am from them. I didn't attempt suicide because my mother was a crack addict who didn't want me. My father wasn't abusive. I didn't have a sibling die in a car accident. I was never really bullied either. I attempted suicide because, for the first time in years, I thought I had found something that could make me feel again... and after not feeling much at all for far too long, perhaps I went a bit overboard

Background: I have an older brother named Chris, and a younger sister named Reagan. My parents picked our names last minute because they didn't really care about what they were going to name us. My family lives in a huge house in Texas. My dad is a doctor and my mom is a lawyer so our family is pretty much rich. My parents rarely pay attention to any of us because they never wanted us. They give us money every month so that we won't have to bother them when we need money for something. I could probably be happy about that if my life was actually good and not a living hell. My brother is 23 years old so he doesn't live with us anymore. He's really smart and he's been at Yale since he was 19. He's majoring in music. My little sister is 15 years old and she's super friendly. She's also really smart, but she doesn't act like it because she doesn't want to be judged. She's one of the most popular girls at our school and she loves to be center of attention. That's how it all starts.
