In the town of Harrison, Ohio, there were two schools; Harrison High School and Harris Academy. These two schools went above and beyond the rival quota. There had been many arrests on both sides and a lot of money had gone into fixing things that were broken as a consequence of the rivalry. Pools were emptied and refilled, football fields needed to be re-grassed, gyms had to be redone, and a whole lot more. These were some of the things that had been done to and by both schools.

Going to school, into their senior years, were the two rival starting wide receivers: Justice Homer and Reed Archer.

Justice Homer goes Harris Academy. He's your typical prep school student. He has good grades, a good family and well popular. He was well known throughout the town, mostly for his athletic abilities. He was pretty into the rivalry, but not in it enough to rationalize doing something illegal.

Reed Archer goes to Harrison High School. He's the wide receiver of the football team and he is classified as a 'bad boy' at school, he can be known to drink a lot at parties but doesn't get into drugs. His home life is complicated. His parents don't love one another and instead hate each other's guts but refuse to get a divorce. Both are set in their ways and believe their way is the only way. They weren't rich, which is why Reed attends public school. He, too, was known throughout the town but more because of his parents. He is recognized for his athletic abilities but as an afterthought of his parents.

These two boys were rivals. However, when they attend the same football camp during the summer, things begin to change between them. They were forced to room together, and you can't spend two months with someone and not have your relationship change. As this relations blossoms, the rivalry fades away and a new feeling begins to take over, one of love.

In which two ex-step-siblings reconnect after just about blowing up their family the first time around... Three years ago, Maddie fell hard for Jacob Isaacs, the smartest boy in her school. The only problem was this: Her dad had quite literally gotten engaged to his mother. The two tried to dampen the flames of their burgeoning attraction for each other but not before they got caught and were the talk of the town for months. After the fall out, Maddie moved away to try and start her life over and not be known as the girl who got caught doing it with her 'brother' at prom. She hasn't seen her family in ages and intends to keep things that way. Jacob, on the other hand, has worked hard to accomplish everything he's ever dreamed of. He's stayed close to home, done exceptionally well at school, and is adored by just about everyone who meets him. There's only one problem: There's a Maddie-shaped hole where his heart used to be. But no matter how hard he tries to reach out and find her, he can't. She won't let him. He let her down and gave up on them when she needed him most. And she's not ready to forgive and forget. But then Maddie's dad passes and she's forced to come home for his funeral. It should be a quick visit. She intends to make it one. But Jacob has other plans. He let his girl slip through his fingers once and he won't let that happen again. So now he has to convince her to give him one more chance. After all, they're not related to each other anymore.

Besides the fact that he attempted to burn down the school twice, smokes a lot, and loves to annoy the crap out of his teachers and dad. Finney didn't grow up exactly with sunshine and rainbows considering he lost his mom to suicide at only six years old. He also grew up on the shitty side of Denver, the side where crimes were normal, the side where no one gave a fuck. That was normal, until he not only got caught smoking, but trying to light some kid on fire... Fun... Robin Arellano. That one tough seventeen year old kid to not ever mess with unless you want to look deformed for the rest of your life. Robin didn't mess with shit. He had girls fawning over him every step he went. Not that it bothered him. Finney Blake bothered him, Finney just did with his annoying laugh and stupid smirk he had at parties when he as was high. Robin just didn't mess with Finney, like ever. And Finney didn't mess with him... Well until they got sent to Brookesville Boarding School, that's when he just wanted to mess with him...
