Maëlle (Ma-el) Berger (Bear-jer), a French paramedic at Firehouse 51, is dealing with the loss of a fellow brother; Andy. Knowing each other since middle school, she feels the impact significantly.

She's been working at the house for six years after she moved back to Chicago after living in her home town Nice, France for her high school years.

She never lost contact with Andy, even meeting his friends Kelly Severide and Matthew Casey over their daily FaceTime calls.
