Why does life need to be so hard? Playa Beckar's parents are divorced, her sister doesn't have a gracious bone in her body, and her mom kicked her out of the house. Good thing she has her boyfriend, Daniel. He always makes her feel better and he is always sweet.
She is trying to make her mark in Los Angeles, California, but it comes with its difficulties. Writing songs, acting in movies, school, and life in general seems to always get in the way. Playa will either be a big thing, or everyone will hate her.
When Playa finds out she has a stalker, she learns what true love is, how she can find it, and how it can make her life easier.
