An alternate version of what happens between Mike and Will in season 3 ep 3 it will slightly follow the storyline of some episodes after that then onto season 4. It's crossposted on ao3 with the same title my username is pj0295 so you can find it. I drafted earlier chapters to focus solely on season 4 with brief mentions of what happened during the season 3 story arc so check ao3 to read everything that happened in this story during season 3 and season 4
It will eventually contain mentions of depression and slight suicidal thoughts (it's not really directly addressed)

[This story takes place 8 months after season 4] Mike has always been in denial about his feelings towards Will. He had pushed him away multiple times because of this denial but now Will and his family is back in Hawkins. Will has been a wreck this past eight months of being back in Hawkins. He couldn't help but feel anxious about the situation at hand. He could feel Vecna regenerating and he was afraid, terrified. He was trying to play it off cool but he just couldn't. One night Will wakes up from a nightmare seeing and feeling Vecna and he doesn't want to be anywhere but back in Michael's room sleeping with him like when they were little. Because of Hawkins destruction and the "gates of hell" many people moved out of it. Hawkins is slowly being crept up upon by the upside down which is now making it's way into reality because of Vecna and there's only one way to stop it and Will knows it.
