A collection of hard fought thoughts and words composed through 30 some years of searching for stories in dive bars and empty bottles, across plains, hills, bayous and mountains of the midsouth - through lonerdom, loss and love. I have lived my life on my terms reaping the rewards and accepting the consequences. Documenting bits and pieces along the way mostly for my own enjoyment, but now I share some here with you.

SHOT IN THE DARK (literally) My life was completely flipped upside down and why you might ask. Because I made the stupid decision to fall in love. COMPLETED! Henry continued to stare at the rocks on the ground as I turned around and began to storm away. After crossing the creek, just as I was about to make my way up the small hill, his shaky voice rang out. "Wait!" He called, and I stopped in my tracks. "Could you..." I could tell he was reluctant, "Stay... P-please?" His voice broke and I could practically hear the sobs come back. I knew that was a sentence Henry had most likely never said before in his whole life, and how could I ever walk away from that? - This story corresponds with the 2017 IT movie, so parts will be different and changed from the original book and 90s movie. - WARNING! I am a Poet, surfing the rainbows... Squandering the few surviving winks in my dreamy eyes. I, a well accompanied loner, saunter amidst the fireflies. Like a wandering dream, my restless mind meanders, "Will the same butterflies return to the flower?" It wonders. I am the thief who thieved the fire, to set the ideas ablaze, I stole the rains too, I had to flood the despondent deserts. But Metaphors I'd just borrow, they would never be mine. Metaphors can't be tamed, they belong to poetry, not poets. I roam unescorted and unaccompanied. I'm just exploring. Whilst, really there is nothing to find. "Sshh!" There is everything to find...
