Being a proxy to the Slenderman, Clockwork - real name Natalie Oulette - often goes on patrols in order to help guard and protect the home she shares with her colleagues. Normally, these patrols go smoothly. But one night, Clockwork's scheduled patrol takes much longer than usual. And with no word back from her, the other proxies come to the worrying conclusion that something bad must have happened. The answer to that question reveals years of lies, a forbidden romance, a creature that could defeat Slenderman himself, and several shocking secrets of the past. And a year later, things just get even more complicated. ~ Warning: This story contains elements of mature language, violence, death, abuse, and other sensitive topics. Reader discretion is advised.
