This is a poem I wrote from the perspective of someone looking up at the moon as if it is real. The first stanza focuses on the isolation of the moon and how the narrator almost feels sorry for it. The second focuses on man's interaction with the moon and paints his association with it in a selfish light. The third stanza however elevates the moon's status to almost god-like and I highlight how the moon will be there long after the greats of this world are gone. I think this poem is suited for anyone of anyone age, although I do think that it would make a great poem for young children.
