For those who have lost a loved one unexpectedly, there is often a desire for closure- to say goodbye in the best way possible. Jeremy Stein never forgot about the tragic death of his little sister, Wren, nearly fifteen years ago, so when she knocked at his door yesterday morning wearing the same clothes in which she had died, wondering where her family was, he nearly went into cardiac arrest. Wren, having very little memory of what happened to her, is suddenly cast out into a world nearly two decades into her future, surrounded by family members who still grieve her. And yet, the more Wren learns about the circumstances of her death, the more she begins to suspect that her demise wasn't exactly the accident everyone thought it was.
