Seventeen-year-old Liss Taylor wants nothing more than to be normal. All she wants is to graduate high school, go to college, and marry her childhood sweetheart. But she knows normal is something she can never be. The constant nightmares of desolate wastelands and the tattoo she was born with are proof enough; normal is not in her future.

A Darkness is now creeping into her town. A Darkness which is weaving its way into the fears of those around it, causing terror to come alive and death to stalk the night.

Who is the new guy in school? What part does he play in all of this, and why does he seem to awaken a piece of her she never even knew existed?

Now Liss is in a race against time, joined by friends, old and new. It will take her places unknown and show her things she never dreamed possible. Will she be able to rise above the darkness and save those she loves, or will she lose everything, and succumb to the evil known as the Weaver of Darkness?

Our story begins in a dying world. The sun hangs low, pale and faint, and the wind is bitter and cold. Monsters and sickness alike have pushed people into Wandering Cities, safe havens amongst the wasteland the world has become. And nothing is as it seems- the cities breathe, the land shifts, and reality twists in unruly ways. Amongst it all, an old world sits forgotten, most archives of its history simply gone. In the corpses of this buried world, whispers flow about, and in the fraying weave of the old and rotten Wastes, shines an unknowable light. Gillain is a prince, or so the King of Muln calls him. In all honesty, he's a monster, a patchwork thing made from the scraps of a dead boy of the same name. There's a difference between a monster like Gillian and the other sorts you may come to find. He is a good person. It is only his dreams which crawl with taunting voices and lying songs, something he can never seem to avoid. And at a certain point, they crawl farther than his sleep, and tragedy strikes the boy's haven in the city of Muln. Without much of a choice, he flees, hoping the Wastes can be his new home. Vara is lost, even though she may be exactly where her home once sat. Now, however, it is but decimated and ruined, and she can barely remember why. All she knows is that being alone has started to get to her, and she just wishes to no longer face the wreckage of her city by herself. And then, a shooting star drops from the clouds, and with it comes a stranger in black. A secretive man, but he's at least a man. More of a man than the patchworks that have begun to hunt her down, at least. A man willing to help and protect her. Weaver & the Wight is the first in the Unweaving by E B Nookes. It is an introduction of sorts, both to the Cities that wander this whimsically dark world, and those few that dare venture out into the churning wastelands beyond them. This is a sample. "He leaned in so close that for a second I thought he was going to kiss me. Then he pulled back and remained quiet for a little while, until he spoke in a low voice. "Marie, there's something I need to tell you." While average teenage girls have to deal with the stress of pop quizzes, cheating boyfriends, two hours' worth of homework, and choosing which Instagram picture makes them look the skinniest, Marie is far from a normal teenage girl. She has no idea what is happening to her as she tries to convince herself she's either going crazy or that these new abilities of super strength, sense, and controlling the elements are just unusual signs of puberty. Things start to get even more crazy when Adam Keller, an incredibly attractive new boy, tries to tell her she is the heir to the most powerful line of witches and that it's his job to train her to use her powers. Marie somehow finds herself in the middle of a love triangle and is forced to face conflicts that make her whole world shatter. What will Marie do when she confronts having powers, killing demons, and trying to avoid a boy that makes her heart flutter? Will she be able to walk away from everything she has ever known? I wrote this book when I was in middle school and high school. It was published my senior year of high school. You can buy it on amazon and barnesandnoble.com. I will be posting the prologue and first chapter to give you an idea of what it is about. This book is meant for middle schooler's and early high schooler's who enjoy paranormal romance, a strong witty heroin, and action.

Casey is going through what she'd call a life-crisis. She's going to lose her job, she lost her boyfriend and she feels like a burden on her best friend. That's when things get a little more interesting for her, she meets a new group of people that allows her to explore a world unknown to her. She's dragged into this new world by force and has to then adjust and learn about things she's always thought of as fake. On her journey she attempts to chase the man who saved her, even though he seems to not be interested in the slightest. COMPLETED* Still under editing :)
