Forged between unemployment and his girlfriend paying for the bills, John can't go back to the life he had seven years ago. He can't go back to summer nights and moonlit rooms and the broken-down echoes of hopes and dreams and wishes. He can't go back to Sherlock.
Then John goes to his high school reunion. And sees him. And then it comes back full circle.

A BBC SHERLOCK FANFICTION Sherlock never talks about his family, so of course he never talks about her. After nearly a decade away from her brothers, Thea 'Teddy' Holmes returns to her home country. As she attempts to forge a relationship with her brothers once more she comes to realize that she is not the only one wishing to make a connection with them. An enemy in the shadows calls Sherlock's name, wanting to play a game, and Teddy is not exempt from this. The mysterious Moriarty has caught Teddy in his web and she is forced to play her part in The Great Game. As the days go by and the danger grows, however, Teddy begins to wonder if coming home was the right thing to do. Some things should just be left in the dark where they belong. Story Warnings: Violence, mild offensive language, and brief mentions of sex. A/N: I wrote this years ago when I was 13/14. I'm 18 now and I can safely say that my writing has improved dramatically since I wrote this. As the series progresses you will probably notice this. Meanwhile, Sherlock Holmes is trying to debunk the Scotland Yard's incorrect description of what is actually a group of mass-murders revolving around a small memory-wiping pill. Mr. Holmes needs an assistant, and Mr. Watson needs a companion. Little do either of them know how much they specifically need one another. [I wrote this when I was early in my teenage years. The more time they spend together the more John wonders, will they every really be friends, could they possibly be more than that one day? The voice came over the speakers. I was in a room made entirely of metal with a one way window covering one wall. I shifted on my paws and gave a low whine. "It's okay, John, take your time." Her voice was slightly strained. I barked, knowing that she was just trying to be courteous. I focused my attention on my regular form, closing my eyes and sitting on my haunches. I felt an electric current pass through my body and my eyes shot open. "Changed!" I hollered out, as if my voice would make the pain fade quicker. The metal felt cold on my bare body, "Evidently clothes don't come with the changing." I stayed laying down as I heard the cheers from the speakers.
