Adrian Blackford, a troubled former mercenary, attempts to rebuild his shattered life after his fiance is kidnapped and finding himself blacklisted by the International Mercenaries Guild. With his younger sister under his care and his Aunt only having six months left to live, Adrian turns to being a wage-slave for retail giant Hot Topic as a way to provide for himself, his sister and to pay for the Hospice Care for his ailing Aunt. Longing for more, he soon crosses paths with several people formerly of questionable employment, including Team RWBY, a team of blacklisted Shadowrunners. Like him, they have all fallen to resorting to being wage-slaves for the retail industry. But as their struggles worsen, destiny has other plans and they will soon find that the fate of the world is in their hands. But how will they save the world and its population...if they can't even get along?

When Alfred Jones, a mighty shadowhunter, and Arthur Kirkland, a not-so-mighty vampire, begin to become close after a deathly incident, they get themselves much more involved in the root of the problem then they'd like. An Hetalia and The Mortal Instruments crossover fanfiction. You do not need to watch Hetalia to understand the story, but you may want to have a decent understanding of the Mortal Instruments universe, as most of the same rules apply to this book.
