We both knew why I was here.

"Why would you even think about attempting what you did?" Officer Dean asked.

"Why not? I've had my share of hurt and betrayal over the years, I guess you could say it was his turn." I remembered my script word by word.

"Ashlynn, what do you mean share? Have you killed others?" He asked even though he had a hunch on what my answer would be.

"Well, I guess you can say this wasn't the first time I've used a gun."

Beneath the Shadows - Part 3 Some people say that marriage changes everything-that it tames a man, softens a woman, turns fire into quiet embers. But they didn't know us. Caleb and I had been through too much to let anything turn to ash. If anything, marriage made us stronger, sharper, more dangerous. We weren't just lovers. We were a team. A force of nature. Together, we rebuilt Caleb's empire piece by piece until it became something no one could touch. More powerful than ever. Untouchable. Unshakable. At least, that's what I thought. It had been nearly a year since Caleb slid that emerald ring onto my finger, a promise that felt like a declaration of war against the rest of the world. And even now, with everything we'd achieved, I still carried shadows inside me. The trauma of the past-the betrayal, the pain, Ben-had left scars I couldn't erase. But I'd learned to use them. To let those shadows make me stronger instead of weaker. If there was one thing Caleb taught me, it was how to survive in a world built on blood and lies. And I was thriving. The woman I used to be-the one who doubted herself, who let others decide her worth-was gone. In her place stood someone new. Someone who could stand next to Caleb and not just survive, but rule. But life has a funny way of testing you just when you think you've won. I didn't know it yet, but the peace we'd fought so hard to build was about to crack. And this time, the betrayal wouldn't come from the outside. This time, it was hiding in plain sight.

"Let's just get out of here and we'll figure something out" as soon as Sam said that we were transferred to the throne room where Crowley was. "Leaving so soon?" He asked. Rowena was standing beside him and a bunch of demons on each side of the room. "Well this is a nice change of scenery" i said. "It's hell" said Sam. "I was being sarcastic" I whispered to him. "You think you have a choice, and that's sweet and all,but it's time you take the knife and do what you were destined to do" said Crowley and offered me the knife that was on his hand. I started walking towards him when someone grabbed my arm. I turned and saw Dean with pleading eyes and said "Please, you don't have to do this". "As a matter of fact she does" said Crowley. I pulled my arm from Dean's grip and walked towards Crowley taking the knife on my hand. Rowena handed me a large rusty bowl and i placed it on the floor. "I'm way too sober for this" I mumbled to myself. "Why are you glaring at me?" asked Crowley and i turned to see who he was referring to. "I'm hoping you'll spontaneously combust" answered Sam. "I'm going to need chicken blood, salt, five candles and a bottle of vodka" said Crowley to a random demon. "Vodka? For the spell?" asked Rowena confused. "No,that's for me. It's just to make me feel better about ripping a hole in the universe" i answered ironically looking at her. Credits for the cover pic of my book go to @gomezmanip on instagram. Please follow her.

He was so, so close, dangerously so. I couldn't bring myself to pull back, to break eye contact. I was entranced by him. He kept me there, locked in his intense gaze. His eyes burned with something I hadn't seen ever before. Or maybe I just hadn't noticed. "Penny for your thoughts, Si?" Dean's breath fanned my face, making me pull in a breath of my own. I needed to step back before I couldn't control myself. You. But I wouldn't tell him that. I couldn't. For one, his ego did not need it. Two, I was scared. I was terrified that this would go too far and it wouldn't work out. "Wouldn't you like to know?" The words slip past my lips faster than I can stop them. That seemed to happen around him. I couldn't control the things I say or do. Normally, I had the best self-control a person could hope for. But Dean...he was able to rip that to pieces with just one look, one word. Dean chuckles and my body warmed at the sound. He stepped closer. His body brushed mine now and I couldn't breathe. But the burn in my lungs felt nice. Dean looked at me for a few moments. I could see the wheels turning in his head. What was he thinking about? I desperately wanted to know. "Screw it." He muttered before leaning down and kissing me. ___ Saige Dawson was a longtime friend of the Winchesters, the eldest brother especially despite the fact she was two years younger than him. She'd always had a tiny crush on him, not that'd she's admit it. And definitely not to him. John would bring his sons to her father's farm where they'd spend a week or two every once in a while. Saige had grown up hunting and with the Winchesters. She'd opened up to Dean, shared all her secrets and spilled her entire life story. He did the same. So one day when he stops by for a visit and tells her that John was missing, Saige had to help. John was like a second father figure for her. She couldn't just leave him hanging. And she couldn't leave Dean hanging either. He needed her help. So she would help.

Nothing left my mouth as I stared at him in shock. He truly believed that I was part of this. The man, who I had lived with and served for months. The man who I had protected with my life and soul. I stood still while, as he backed away from me quickly. "I trusted you with my life." His cry pierced around the empty room. He looked so destroyed and hurt, but mostly his face portrayed rage and determation. "And I protected you with mine." I spoke back loudly. I didn't hear myself say it but I knew I did. I look into his eyes even from our distance they seemed to wallow me in darkness. "I gave you mine." My voice was quiet and cracked. His face changed only for a second before his old one took over again. He doesn't believe me. It doesn't matter what I say or do he won't listen. He will still believe I am the bad guy. Just as Kane said, we will never be equals, we will never be fellow humans. We will always be monsters to them. "Yakov, I am not the bad guy." I plead one last time. His Russian accent comes out harsh with his next words. "Your right," he pauses, "you are the villain." I stumble back as if I had just been stabbed in the chest. It was a horrible feeling. It was never good with the emotions and yet I recognize the feeling as heart beak. I barely breathe in air as I regain my posture. A battle cry from somewhere distracts me momentarily. I suddenly remember Ewan. I glare at Yakov one more time before I take off after the cries of battle. Jade believes she started the war among the human and her kind. Nothing is as it was portrayed. The lies and the truth are hidden among each other. There is is no clear good and evil. How can there be if one does not know what is right and what is wrong. She was prepared to see death, prepared to inflict death upon others without mercy or remose. She was prepared to do her job which the Facility had given her. But now it doesn't seem so simple anymore. Instead she focuses on keeping her friends alive.

Having no other choice, Jade must live through her worst nightmare in order to protect her loved ones, and hopefully make it out alive to be with the one she loves. ________________________________ SNEAK PEEK: "Wh-why are you doing this? What do you want ?" I questioned, staring deeply into his brown orbs, reminiscing how I used to get lost in them so easily. "Oh stop this act Jade, you're smarter than that. You know exactly what I want." He said, stalking closer, his voice smooth as silk, yet has a bit of a rough tone to it , as he placed his hand on on my cheek, and his thumb softly traced my bottom lip, causing a jolt of excitement to travel throughout my body, which I instantly scolded myself for. I shouldn't be affected by him, not anymore. "Well you can't have me!" I slapped his hand away, then pushed him causing him to stumble backwards. I then quickly grabbed my purse, and pulled out my taser. I pointed it towards him as I said "get out! GET OUT!" He seemed surprised for a second but then his face relaxed, as a smirk took place on his lips, he took a few steps towards the door then turned and said "Don't worry Jade, I will have you. Whether you want to or not, I will do whatever it takes to it happen. Mark my words Jade Christina Reaves, you will be mine, and that is a promise."
