This is what I thought would be a good happy ending to the Rise of Skywalker. The ending we all deserved. I sill loved the movie and it's ending so much but I just wanted to have something happy too.

Star Wars: Duel of the Fates
This is my version of the third chapter of the new Star Wars trilogy. I will not change anything that happened in either Force Awakens or Last Jedi. I will uphold the restrictions that resulted from the sad death of Carrie Fisher and will only draw from the deleted scenes or audio from pre-existing Star Wars movies and properties. Whilst I appreciated what Last Jedi was trying to do, I did not actually like it. However, I have no intention of undoing any of the main plot points or revelations that were in it. E.g. Rey will certainly not be a Palpatine. The story will not contain any Reylo. I know, I know: I love it too, but it was really weird seeing it as canon in the Rise of Skywalker. Do not expect it here. I am a big Star Wars fan and will be adding things from as wide a field as possible. All planets will be based on actual places mentioned or visited in the various movies and tv shows. The action happens after "The last jedi" when both Rey and Ben realized they fell in love with the other one. But their roads are going in opposite directions and Rey does her best to bring Ben back to the light side; back to her. What will the two give up for each other when their are willing to pay anything to be with the other one but they are both too proud to do it? Also, if you watched tros, then you will be glad of how this fanfiction turns. I don't own any of the characters, they belong to Disney and George Lucas. Star Wars IX- The Rise of Skywalker
"We've passed on all we know. A thousand generations live in you now, but this is your fight." A familiar voice, Luke's, whispers. Luke Skywalker stands net to R2-D2 the sky around him burns shades of orange, yellow and red and behind him a Jedi temple burns. Kylo feels his father's hand upon his face the watched as his father falls into the abyss. "Your journey nears its end." A sinister voice now whispers, and a flash of blue light reveals a fleet of Imperial Star Destroyers filling the vastness of space as blue fire leaps between them. A powerful red laser of an unseen weapon obliterates the surface of a planet. Shrieks, whispers and screams and then the sound of a lightsaber igniting. A fiery red saber but behind that saber is Rey, her hand twitches and the saber becomes a double-pronged staff. A maniacal evil laugh cackles. Kylo woke with a start and sat upright on his bed. Written after the first trailer dropped and finished before the film was released. Contains references to previous films, novelisations and comics. This is a Ben Solo/OC story. I do want to be clear that I am a die hard Reylo fan but this idea came to me and I need to run with it. What if Ben had been too late? What if he couldn't have brought Rey back, where would he go? Ben finds himself back on Tatooine where it had all began but he isn't alone. Beykha Novan has taken over the Lars Moisture Farm and doesn't take kindly to strangers but something about the mysterious Ben tells her to trust him to help him. Meanwhile Finn is convinced that Kylo Ren has killed his beloved Rey and has made it mission to find Ren and kill him - no matter the cost. I don't know why I am doing this... Basically it's The Force Awakens with a plot twist and a new character, it's also a one sided romance between Kylo Ren and Luke's last apprentice. He spared her life because he felt that he shouldn't kill her, only time will tell if he had made the right choice. (I don't own The Force Awakens... or Kylo ((wish I did)), just the plot... the character, Hope, also does not belong to me. She and her personality belongs to Snowdreamer.)
