"Stupid"

This is a story about a boy with down syndrome, who joins the football team, is very smart, and despite all that, still gets bullied by the boy he is in love with. Thomas comes from Alaska, from which he transfers to Brider High School. Alex, the bully, is not on the football because he thinks that down syndrome is a disease that you can catch. While everyone on the football team does their very best to protect Thomas, they can't protect him when he is walking home, or at the store on Sunday, or watching the cheerleaders at practice. Some days, Alex corners Thomas, in which he can't help but blush, even if it's just a bit. And that boy...... Is me.
