Becoming Queen follows the story of a young princess as she prepares to become queen of her country. 

Amelia is not your average seventeen year old. She is second in the line to the British throne and her life is anything but normal. Instead of going to parties and hanging out with her friends she goes to  state events and other royal events. She attends St. Mary's School-a very prestigious school- and  she has weekly Princess lessons with her grandmother -the Queen. Amelia or Amy as most people call her is used to the way her life is and the routine she is expected to follow, but her life is about to change...
