the introduction to my series Intertwined Destiny. a retelling of one of our favorite retellings, based on Rachel Smythe's Lore Olympus. i've learned recently that this has previously been plagiarized on this site with someone who had a similar username, so i am sharing it on this platform in the hopes of preventing this from happening again.
in the opening chapter, a familiar pink goddess is pleased to find the King of the Underworld asleep in one of the various chambers at her mother's home, scantily clad... tip toeing in the window, she examines him closely. perhaps a little too close...
this is loosely based upon early chapters of Lore Olympus, and will diverge from pure canon later on. enjoy

This is my OC, Artemis's, backstory. Artemis is a fennec fox, don't ask why, I thought is was cute. Keep in mind, this is all fake, my life isn't actually like this. I suppose you all know that an OC and the real person are two completely different individuals most of the time. Unlike me, who is fatherless, Artemis is motherless. I drew the cover photo, it's not the best, but it's cute. Artemis's name is Ash (like mine) but then it becomes Artemis later on. You'll understand that better when you read. Also, I took that Soldier, Poet, King quiz. I'm a king/ruler, hence the title. For some reason, when I took that quiz, it made me want to make an OC with a backstory. I have no idea why. So I decided to incorporate that into the backstory. ANDDDDD, my OC has nothing to do with the goddess Artemis. Artemis is just the name I chose. So don't be in the comments like "actually, in Greek mythology, Artemis is like THIS" because I know. I love Greek mythology and stuff like that. I know quite a bit about it. All The Queen's Monsters (The Queen's Slave, Book 3)
Everything was gone. I sobbed, my clothes ripped and I was bleeding, but it didn't matter. I had to get to her, to them. Had to find- Struggling to stand, I grasped my side, biting back the scream that wanted to escape. I looked down at my hands and red coated them, blurring together until I couldn't see anything anymore. I squeezed my eyes shut, forcing my panicked breathing to slow, until I felt in control of myself again. It had been so long, I thought as I turned my peeling and dry face to the sun, my fingers shaking as I struggled to make sense of them. For so long, I'd been a wolf, cursed. All that I was, or could've been had been reduced to nothing but an animal driven by instinct, bloodlust, thousands of lives met their ends at the edges of my razor sharp claws. I had no idea where I was, how much time had passed. My fingers touched something hard in the sand, and a jolt of information went through me as Queen Azalea's sword, gleamed as I pulled it free. My heart started to pound as sun glinted off of the blade, reflecting back at me. I nearly dropped the metal when I saw myself. I took a second look and saw white hair, caked with dirt, and yellow eyes, blue veins sparking in their depths. All at once, I remembered who I was. I remembered why I was here, how much time had passed. I am Azalea Marie Albescu, The Queen Alpha. A false queen sits on my throne, controls what's mine. I would have to make my way back to my pack, my family, and my home, if still there. I would rise again, as I had before, and reclaim what belongs to me. MYTH-TAKEN IDENTITY - a 2025 ONC novella
An introverted, recluse gamer accidentally finds out she's the reincarnation of a Greek god/goddess, and is stuck in a world-altering time-loop until she figures out WHICH god/goddess she's destined to become. ***** Ophelia Jones is...well, she's nothing. She asks for nothing. She WANTS nothing. Just to stay in her dark basement-apartment, do her mindless data-entering job by day, play video games by night. She refuses to participate in a real social life, and won't read the news or be active in the LGTBQIA+ scene that she belongs in. No, Ophelia is done giving a sh**. She'd rather live in her fantasy world, ignoring the real world around her. That is, until a mysterious puddle surfaces in her backyard, and she jokingly wonders if it'll be a portal to another world, someplace better - and she falls into it. Oh, she's transported to a new world, all right -- but not a parallel world or an alternate universe. She's transported to the past; into mythology, specifically. Greek mythology, to be even more exact. Because according to Alfie, her "spiritual guide", she's a reincarnated god or goddess, and has to figure out who. Problem? The Tale of Hades & Persephone
This is a rewrite of my previous fan fiction "Tales of Hades and Persephone" as well as some inspiration from the original myth (and perhaps other retellings I enjoy). Hades has been alone for far too long. One day he pays a visit to Zeus and requests to marry Persephone. The King of the Gods agrees and even recommends Hades kidnap Persephone, since it's unlikely Demeter will agree to the marriage. Persephone is a young Goddess of Earth curious about the world of the mortals. She's always helping her mother Demeter, but one day while watching the mortals she wanders off only to fun into a handsome stranger. After a brief conversation, Persephone finds herself swept away to the Underworld. Will Hades manage to get Persephone to fall in love with him? What will Demeter do when she discovers her daughter is missing and it's all Zeus' fault? Will the mortals be able to survive the wrath of the Gods?Concluida
