the introduction to my series Intertwined Destiny. a retelling of one of our favorite retellings, based on Rachel Smythe's Lore Olympus. i've learned recently that this has previously been plagiarized on this site with someone who had a similar username, so i am sharing it on this platform in the hopes of preventing this from happening again.
in the opening chapter, a familiar pink goddess is pleased to find the King of the Underworld asleep in one of the various chambers at her mother's home, scantily clad... tip toeing in the window, she examines him closely. perhaps a little too close...
this is loosely based upon early chapters of Lore Olympus, and will diverge from pure canon later on. enjoy

This is a rewrite of my previous fan fiction "Tales of Hades and Persephone" as well as some inspiration from the original myth (and perhaps other retellings I enjoy). "I've told you, Hades, I can not become your mistress." she sadly told him. She had always lived in her mother's shadow, and if she followed Hades, she would once again be living in another's shadow. Even though she loved him, she did not think she could stomach it. "I do not want you to be my mistress, Persephone, I want you to be my queen," he confessed to her. This is my OC, Artemis's, backstory. Artemis is a fennec fox, don't ask why, I thought is was cute. Keep in mind, this is all fake, my life isn't actually like this. I suppose you all know that an OC and the real person are two completely different individuals most of the time. Unlike me, who is fatherless, Artemis is motherless. I drew the cover photo, it's not the best, but it's cute. Artemis's name is Ash (like mine) but then it becomes Artemis later on. You'll understand that better when you read. Also, I took that Soldier, Poet, King quiz. I'm a king/ruler, hence the title. For some reason, when I took that quiz, it made me want to make an OC with a backstory. I have no idea why. So I decided to incorporate that into the backstory. ANDDDDD, my OC has nothing to do with the goddess Artemis. Artemis is just the name I chose. So don't be in the comments like "actually, in Greek mythology, Artemis is like THIS" because I know. I love Greek mythology and stuff like that. I know quite a bit about it.
