I'm an artist with words, not book covers... Android Captain Lancieta Steegle, and an engineer from Earth named Mannie end up relying on each other for more than survival when a war is thrust onto the people of Earth. In a desperate attempt to deal some kind of blow to the Halgred, the Andromedian collective okayed a Shadow Operation to attack the Halgred Homeworld. The weapon was illegal, a bio-weapon designed to sterilize and weaken their almost otherworldly physiology. When this weapon is instead redirected to Earth by the Halgred King, Draconisis, those whom survive undergo a change. As they wake up, the people of Earth are greeted by horror of their new animalistic physiology, and for some, unimaginable abilities. The 20 or so surviving Androids of the once thousands-strong crew of the Dreadnought-Class battleship do their best to make amends and help the humans of Earth adjust to their new Bestial Planet and the even more dangerous intergalactic community. This story is "Complete" as in the last chapter was written and it's gone through about 3 re-writes and 4 rounds of editing since. Very few stories are ever finished, as we know, because there's always something we think can be or should be changed. However, I've learned that the best I can do is get it to the point where I feel comfortable with someone else reading it. Otherwise I'd never have posted anything anywhere.

I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. The end of animals, most of nature, technology and everything that advanced in between. After Earth's destruction a new life began with the survivors of the near extinction of humanity. They constructed a singular civilization encased in a wall for protection from outside forces, built on the hope to reproduce and thrive with the life they were forced into. Zykard would be the start of a second life for humans But within that time of rebirth some of the survivors surged with horrors of Pre-Reearth. Heresy, treachery, riots, thefts, murders and revolutions. A need to for order was introduced, and brought about the leader of Zykard and seven factions of ten people. A thousand years later theres a change. An outsider appears and seemingly becomes the new leader of Zykard, bringing more hardships with their hopes. Crimson, a seventeen year old girl faces the verge of adulthood. The final trials being the only gap between her new reality. A new injection to be given to everyone after the trials. She will face the ugly second face of what Zykard really is behind the curtains. Face pain she never thought would be possible and lose what she loves the most. She will understand what it's like to become apart of the Zykard.
