A Candor girl known as Stella Thorn begins her adventure to try to get the most out of life and figure out who she really is. Her aptitude test is the next hurdle in her journey through life, Stella is told that she is different and must keep it a secret. After Sella's makes her choice at the Choosing Ceremony, she decides to begin to change immediately to fit to her new faction so her future stays bright. Her initiation starts early, but not early enough to catch Stella off guard, she has seen how the Dauntless get in trains and remembers the rumors that spread quickly from their initiation. Soon, Stella meets her initiation instructor, Storm. After the first stage of initiation, Stella (Jade) becomes close to Storm, Storm soon reveals who he truly is to Jade, as they come closer together, Stella gets closer to stage three of initiation, where she faces her fear-landscape. She must face her fears the Dauntless way, or risk being discovered by the Divergent hunters.
