There is something wrong..
Something isn't as it should be.
They say Silver is For Monsters and Steel is for Man.. but what of monsters that fear not silver? And what of Man who raise not steel against each other..? A world that Geralt is not familiar with is about to collide with his own. A Savage world of beasts now emerges to challenge a Dark World of Magic and Curses. Can a man who hunts monsters also hunt elders? Can a woman who hunts elders also hunt demons? Only one way to find out..

(warning, as Witcher is a pretty intense series. blood, violence, and like.. nudity is everywhere.. so this will be a deviation from my usual fan fics since I want to try a little something new. Expect Game of Thrones level crap.... obviously this is a book so we don't have to imagine nudity.. STOP IMAGINING IT.. HEY!! I SEE YOU OVER THERE IMAGINING IT!! STAHP... STAHP IT!!)

Every year, my town chooses a sacrifice for the demon that "watches over" our home. In exchange for a person from the village between the ages of 17 to 25, the demon protects our village. And because of that pact, our village is protected for the next year, under the demon's watchful eyes. No one knows what happens to those who the demon chooses, but there's a lot of theories about it. One is that the demon eats or absorbs those who are chosen - another, that it kills them. But this year, I'm the one who's chosen. I get to meet the demon I've feared since I was a child, and now that I'm 24, and am considered an adult, I could have left the village behind. But I didn't. Something inside me told me to stay. Now, I'm going to die. I just know it. I can't leave now, or run away, because the town would be unprotected for a whole year, and that's where my family lives. I don't know what to do, but I'm sure I'll think of something. Besides, how bad can this demon be if they're guarding our town?
