~Cleveland, Ohio, November 1992~

It was cold, very cold. Melissa pulled her long coat tighter about her body and hurried on, head down to protect her from the wind and sleet that was battering her. She was on her way home from working as a waitress at a local café. One of the customers had stayed for ages so she'd missed her lift.
The noise of cars rushing by, pushing the sludge out of the way prevented her from hearing the quick footsteps that were coming up behind her.
She wasn't aware of the other person until she felt a cold hand grab her arm and sharp pain in her neck.

Set in the '90s, Melissa must come to terms with life as a vampire. Under her intimidating boss, Oz, she must navigate a life of religion, suspicion and adventure. She just might unearth some terrible secrets along the way.
