She never imagined a life in any other form. For 22 years, Amelia Layton has been stuck in a loveless home with an uncle who ignored her existence. Her only escape was her late Aunt Mae's seamstress shop in their little dusty town of Hawthorne.

But her escape soon becomes a backdrop for forbidden secrets and moments that would hold Amelia's only source of happiness...but for how long?

Marshall Trevors, spending too many years alone after the fall of what little family he had known, decides a move to a different climate might help his ailment. Too many years living a hard life on the ground, too many wounds, too many bullets, and too large of a price on his head. He decides on a little dusty town in Colorado. Hawthorne seems to be a nice enough place to lay low, maybe for however long he has left.

He never took into consideration that he may possibly find more than just a home but also friendship among the townsfolk and ranchers. And for some reason, the little seamstress of the town never seems to be far from his mind.

Ryder Matthews fucked up and he knows it. 11 years ago, he left the love of his lie in some pre-college life freak out and when he returned 3 years later, she was gone. He's stuck to deal with his consequences. A week after his return home, Ryder heads to Jack Taylor's ranch to get his old farm hand job back. When he steps out of the car, a 9 year old girl greets him and when her mom comes to see what the fuss is all about, he's met with the last person he thought he'd ever see back in Alcombey.
