When Kayleigh Bennett is thrust into a world she wished she would never be apart of, she must choose the right path to overcome the lies and betrayal that plague her every move.
Kayleigh Bennett has been kept hidden from the world by the woman who she believed was her mother. She is forbidden from using any of her abilities for fear that she will reveal who, or more accurately what, she is. When she goes out she is to wear powder on her face to hide the black veins protruding through her pale flesh. After leaving her home to go to the village, she becomes both a hero and a criminal.
Having exposed herself to the world, Kayleigh flees to keep her mother safe and entrusts the help of a young blue blood tracker to help her escape from the hands of the black blood royals chasing her. She meets people her mother warned her about and finds out her mother just might have been wrong about the world.
After a betrayal, Kayleigh is left wondering. Is there anyone you can trust in a world full of magic?
