[Hiccstrid] It's a Hiccup Leaves Berk story, but with some new twists and turns. Hiccup leaves as a runty nobody with a big secret, only to return as a world-wise and hardened man. He meets new friends and discovers abilities that he never dreamed he could have. Only problem is, he can't really come home now. He has changed, but Berk has not.

Would those he left behind be able to recognize the village loser, despite the man that he has become? Does he even want them to? In their time of greatest need, will Hiccup be able to save them? Or is the fear of facing his past too great an obstacle to overcome? Set in a world of smut, blood, and magic, with heavy helpings of history and mythology.

(Contains O/C, hiccstrid, and plenty of angst) This is the first book in an eventual trilogy.

(Inheritance cycle inspired vibes, but not really a cross-over. AKA: You do not need to know those books to understand this story)
