Queen Naehlara (LOTR, Legolas love story)
In a bed chamber high in the trees of Lothlorien is a young she-elf is sound asleep. "She will wake soon if Mithrandir is to proceed with his quest to Erebor. The darkness will grow, and she will awaken to fight it, like she did long ago." Galadriel says, turning to her husband and taking his hand. The she-elf is not as young as she seems, she had nearly faded when Galadriel found her at the beginning of the second age. The elf never woke, but the Lady of Light has foreseen it; Naehlara will awaken to help lead the elves, men and all free folk to peace, for she is the High Queen of the elves. The only living elf from the first age. Her fae grows stronger with every year bringing her closer to awakening. Galadriel once was friends with the elf, her father Thingol; king of Doriath before it was abandoned and forgotten as the first age elves left Middle Earth to go back to Valanor or faded with time. "I have longed to see my friend reawaken but how do you explain to one that nearly two ages has passed since she fell into slumber." Galadriel says, a small smile growing on her face. And what did she owe to the dwarves, to be running into a mountain with a dragon? "I wish you would have agreed. Halidien, you will go." Mithrandir insisted. "And why would I do that? The dwarves can handle their own problems." "You owe me, and once this quest is over that oath will be fulfilled." He explained, causing Halidien to pale. Hundreds of years ago, Mithrandir had saved her life and she had made an oath to him to help whenever he may need. Sapphire is an orphan elleth whom was brought up by dwarves in the Mines of Moria. Now she wanders the wilderness of Middle-Earth as one of the most skilled rangers ever known. With her skill with both bow and blade as well as the axe and daggers, she is sought out by Lord Elrond to attend a meeting of all the great races in Rivendell. There she meets Aragon, an old friend or hers who is a fellow ranger and she also makes the acquaintance of a dwarf, an elven prince, four hobbits, a wizard and two men. Along with her trusty wolf companion, Nasha, and her horse, StarLight, Sapphire is swept up in a quest to save Middle-Earth. She forges long lasting friendships with those around her and finds herself getting close to the elven prince even though they start as rivals. This is a Legolas love story but if any of you have read my other fan fictions then you know I love character development and so this is likely to take a long time to get started. Also, I know there are like a billion fan fictions with the same plot, that being a female elf who is part of the fellowship and ends up falling in love with Legolas. I know every fan fic is basically that plot repeated over and over again but I just said, 'what the hell, if you can't beat them, join them' so I made this.Complete
