Eliza Mason is bored and frustrated by her life at Meru Academy. Her it-girl roommate hates her, her teachers pity her, and the only friend she has is the rich but reclusive Joe, who doesn't exactly share Eliza's yearning for adventure.

But when she accepts a dare to sneak onto the local military base and sees something she shouldn't, Eliza suddenly finds herself in the middle of a dangerous mystery. Desperate to find answers, she puts everything on the line to find out what's going on. 

What she discovers will change her life forever.

They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence. No one will believe it was me who disappeared into a fence and appeared on the other side of school. I stare at my brother. He made eye contact with me, confirming my suspicions. We both saw it. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. After finishing her first year of high school, Vanessa tags along with her foster dad Joe to The Acres, a retreat center in Watertown US, to deal with the new Rabies variant that's becoming a global crisis due to the wide spread of Albino Anacondas. During her stay at the camp, Vanessa makes some new friends, gets tangled in new life or death situations, meets a mysterious stranger, and taps into a stronger power she never knew she was capable of. Teaser: The closest one to me is in Watertown. After a minute or two of showing the list, the camera flickered back to the lady and she began talking about how the U.S government will deal with this new virus. Losing interest in the topic, I switched the channel to DisneyPlus and put on one of my top favourite movies; Doctor Strange. I love how the editors behind the movie made the effects SO realistic. Twenty minutes into the movie, I got a text from my friend Rachel.

But there is one class of mutants that nearly everyone can agree on avoiding: Class F. The Freaks. For awkwardly tall and perpetually oblivious homeschooler Noah Kirby, all that exists is his house and the little graveyard on his street in North Carolina. When the opportunity comes along to enroll as a first-year at F Class Academy, an up-and-coming school for the most dangerous mutants of the generation, it means opening his eyes to an entirely new world, one where mutant life isn't as easy as he thought it was. Noah has three goals to ensure his start at FCA goes smoothly: 1. Befriend his moody Ability Management partner Amaris, so that they don't both risk failing the class, 2. But now being 18, Vivian and Logan are trying their hardest to figure out Vivian's mutation and frankly Vivian worries...she's not only scared of what happens when she transforms, but she's starting to get scared of herself... So what happens when they go to a special school where there's other's like her? What happens next? Does she learn to control the beast inside of her? Will she make friends? Or will she simply not belong?
