"How can you call yourself a writer if you never write?" Every day I ask myself this question. While it may just be a hobby, I enjoy the craft, and would love to improve upon my skill as a writer so I can move onto bigger and better projects. Yet I can never find the drive to actually sit down and get the words out of my head, and onto the screen. This changes this year. My goal is to write at least 52 new short stories by the end of 2020. At least one short story(500+ words) for each week of the year. If I don't reach this goal, I've given myself some undesirable consequences I must follow through with. (Shameless plug, follow my twitter for updates and other shenanigans. @SuperDude6354) Will I reach my goal by 2021? - I hope so. Will each short story be a masterpiece? - Definitely not. Will I procrastinate? - Absolutely. But regardless, I've given myself a goal this year, which I hope will flex and build my ever deteriorating creative muscle.

Welcome to this little book! This is gonna be some of my better small works - poetry and short stories, for the most part, with the occasional dream that I actually end up remembering mixed in. So, sit back, relax, and prepare for a bit of angst! MINI-SERIES Some of these are differentiated by a marker in their title or, in a very particular case, through a certain sign-off. I wanted to take a sec to explain the idea behind them, and let you guys know that I'll (eventually) be publishing them as actual, proper books! Asylum: Whenever I'm in the hospital or a mental facility, I get bored and write! I thought it would be fascinating to see all the work I make in a "damaged" state collected together. Unsent Letters: If I have something to say to someone but I can't for whatever reason, I'll write a letter to the person. Maybe it's angry, or sad, or an update, or just a much-needed, long-awaited hello. And the hope is that I'll publish it and maybe, someday, someone will pick my book up off a shelf and find that letter I write to them. Would sending them a letter be more effective? Yes. But it's more fun to make it into an art project! Signed by "-A": I̷͔̬̒t̵͔̂̊ͅ'̵͇̕s̶͆͜͠ ̶̟̪͝n̴̥̉ȯ̷͎̼t̶̢̕ ̷̧̺̉̐r̵͎̄e̴̲̞͌͌a̵̲̺̓d̵̮̑͜ỳ̴̗ ̷̯̑̀y̴̟̹̐ë̸̯̱́t̴͓̍̿͜.̸̙͆̓ ̸͕͑
