Side note: While the early chapters stay true to the original Naruto universe, but after chapter 19, it will no longer be as canon to the Naruto universe because I don't need the buildup from stuff like the chunin exams. I decided to write this story because I could never find a Shikamaru x Ino fanfic that truly resonated with me. While I do ship Temari and Shikamaru, as well as Sai and Ino more, I found it frustrating that there weren't any compelling fanfics featuring this pairing. So, I took matters into my own hands and created my own! This is my first time even writing a fanfiction so if you see any errors, I am so sorry and please let me know so I can fix them. Feel free to give me your criticism so I know how to be better in the future. Also: If a sequel is written, expect a mix of drama shake things up. (I'm not too sure if I'm going to keep it as Ino x Shikamaru but rather throw some sai x ino or temari x Shikamaru), but I'm not there yet so you'll see.
