"God, I don't want to be empty inside anymore..."-Shawn Hunter (BoyMeetsWorld) ❤️

I want to raise awareness about depression and mental illness. It's often a lifelong struggle, and it's common. Don't be afraid to talk about it. You're missing out if you stay quiet.

WARNING: mental health, angst, graphic, depression, emotional trauma, rejection, abandonment, loneliness, bereavement, grief, orphaned.

"Pain should leave through your tears, not through your blood. Through your eyes, not through your wrists. Vulnerability looks good on you. And always ask for help."

These are the scribblings of an average teen dealing with constant disappointments, who doesn't want to make a scene but deep inside is screaming out in pain. Will he find a way to hope again before it's too late? Will he find a faith in something bigger than the here and now, than what he can physically feel?

Shawn feels like he's all alone, like no one understands him. No one sees who he really is except what he's pretended to be. He's melting under the pressure of everyone's expectations: Mr. Turner's, his family's, the Matthew's, his peers, Mr. Feeny's. He's lost but not able to face the reality of everything. What will become of him? He's tried to hide from the pain of his past and the fear of his fate.

Who can he trust with all this? To top it all off, his real parents abandoned him. He can't take another lie, another reason to push people away. Another reason to hate himself. The depression is real, but there's still hope.

It was a shell of a home a graveyard of what could've been. But Miguel starts making him feel at home, Miguel had always had a deep void. Never ending feeling of loneliness that was suffocating him. He didn't have a reason to feel alone but he did. Never talking about his feelings, never telling people that under all the smiles he brought.
