This is a story I did for the NYC Midnite Flash Fiction Challenge. Participants were randomly assigned a location, object, and genre, then had 48 hours to write a story of 1000 words or less. The ones given to me were: a sword, movie theater, and comedy. I've never written a comedy before, but I've thought about it so this was a fun challenge to try. Despite not placing in the contest, I'm pleased with the way it turned out and hope it can at least put a small smile on your face!
