In a future dystopian society, the ginger population has been essentially eliminated due to typical genetic patterns. However, society now views gingers as weak, so the few remaining gingers are hiding or have dyed their hair to keep their identity a secret. Scarlet, who has just turned 18, looks into her family history and discovers she comes from a long line of red-headed ancestors. In order to preserve her family's history, she sets out to find the last of the gingers and restore the ginger population. Her parents, though, do not feel the same, causing many obstacles and challenges along the way.
