A ruby and and amethyst are sent from homeworld to check on the newest kindergarden, the Delta Kindergarden, when their ship crashes on an island in the middle ocean. Eventually, they fuse and find their way to beach city, but are intercepted by the Crystal Gems when they check on the Prime Kindergarden.
