I remember thinking that he and I were forever, but that changed. It changed the day he told me he was moving. I began to grow pissed off. I was angry, annoyed, pissed etc. But most of all I was miserable. So being me I fought with him until he eventually left.
I knew that he was the only person who actually understood me. The only person I let understand me. I couldn’t let anyone else in, I didn’t know how. He was the only person who had bothered to dig their way into my life. It was that reason, and that reason only, I trusted him.
I knew after he left everything would go back to the way it was, I would be alone. And I was, I was lonely and miserable. My life turned upside down after being safe for so long now that he was gone I felt in danger.
‘Will you ever be back?’ I had asked the day he told me.
‘Of course, but not for a while.’ He replied softly grabbing my hand and pulling me close to him.
That was the last time I hugged him before he left, because the last 3 days he was here we were fighting. It was my entire fault and normally you can fix things. But because he’s not here…I can’t.
