Renzo is a resident of one of the most developed nations in the world: Eden. At 16 everyone goes to the citadel in the inner city to become an adult. That's where they get their death year. Eden's astounding technology allows them to determine when one will die, anyone unfortunate enough to get a 16 is a zero. Zeroes are shunned by their families, hated by society and seen as the worst of the worst as they are all considered useless.  Renzo is one such unfortunate soul.
