"Hey Liz."
"Oh hey Cal, something I can do for you?"
"Yeah, I just... can I talk to Luke for a minute? He wasn't at school today."
"But Calum, Luke isn't... wait he didn't tell you?"
"Ehm..no? Where is he?"
"Oh my...Calum I'm sorry, I was completely sure you know it. Luke transferred to England yesterday afternoon. He is living with his aunt now. When he came late from his class yesterday he told me he was at yours to tell you everything and say goodbye."
"No, he wasn't. I had no idea..."
"I'm really sorry, but try to call him I am positive he will explain it to you. You are best friends after all."
It all started with one secret and now there is much more between the two of them.

cold coffee - clifford
Voicemail, yet again. Taking a deep breath, I start the message. "Hey, I've called you again. This is the last one, I swear. Remember when we would chat forever and ever? We would always drink hot coffee together and talk about our pointless day. It was a daily thing, until you found someone else to occupy your time. I wasn't needed anymore, so you cast me out. I'm in our place, same spot. When you decide to meet me again, I'll be here. I won't talk to you. All that I will spare you is a small glance and some cold coffee." Ending the voicemail, I collapse back into the chair and wait for the response that will never come. cover by @xHemmingsHugsxComplete

And then our lips touched, slightly but the feeling makes sparks fly. I felt the lump in my throat go away as he wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him. And I think everything just came crashing down like that. It was just that simple action that broke through all my defences. I was knocked back off guard, eyes wide and confused but I didn't resist. *** "I'll just miss you" I smile. He walks up to me pulling me into a loving embrace. I didn't want to let go. My heart was beating fast and I pulled away. "What did you want to say?" Luke asks changing the topic. This wasn't the right time to be with him. It wasn't the right time to tell him everything. I guess I'll have to move on. "Just that it's too late now... it's a new day" I forced my lips to curl upwards and he smiled back. *** (Book One Of The NAA series)Complete
