My entry for the Romance Holiday Contest 2020!
Juliette has always hated Christmas time. Ever since the horrible incident of her grandmother putting the angel on top of the tree and witnessing her fall to her death. Two year later, Juliette's mother falls to her death when her foot gets caught and twisted in a string of Christmas lights.
After her traumatic experiences, Juliette soon meets Jackson. After years of getting to know each other, they fall in love and Jackson proposes. Soon Christmas arrives and the couple start to decorate their place.
But when the Christmas tree only needs one thing adding to complete it, What will Juliette's reaction be when she witnesses the love of her life put the angel on top of the Christmas tree? What will she do to save him? And why is the topper always killing innocent people?

I ran into a lamppost. Yep - face on. Into a lamppost. As soon as my face came into contact with the metal, I felt a body wrapped around me but it was too late - my nose was already broken. Immediately I started crying, along with blood gushing out of my nose. Romeo pulled out a packet of tissues he had in his pocket for me (since he had a cold), and applied them to my nose. Brooklyn was comforting me and ringing my mum. Brooklyn was stroking my hair and cradling me in his arms "Ok... what about you, what are you going to do?"
