~Book 1 of "The Mage War Chronicles"~
Sage was perfectly happy working at the local Pub as a waiter. It provided him with food to eat, a place to sleep, and tips to spend and he got to talk to all the nice towns people and travelers who stoped by. For Sage, that was all he needed.
Rook was perfectly happy being alone. He enjoyed the quiet and preferred it better that way. Being around other people bothered him to say the least and he would much rather be without people then with any.
Both thought things were great the way they were and didn't see any need for it to change. Though, for them at least, life had a strange way of denying them what they wanted.

"Well if it makes you feel any better, I don't have a mate either brother," Damien responded. For someone who was human, that is before I turned him, he sure did lack empathy. Dragon Blood
"Do you remember calling me 'mate?'" he asked softly, pushing her wild curls away from her face. She blushed deeply, but he wouldn't let her look away. "You heard that?" He nodded with a smile. "It was the first thought she ever shared with me." Skylar pursed her lips. "She likes you very much." "What about you?" he teased gently. "How do you feel about me?" She set her jaw and once again managed to look down her nose at him while staring up at him. "Well... well, I'm rather fond of you, Orion." He let out a relieved laugh and pulled her into his chest again. "What a relief. I was worried it was just me." He nuzzled her temple, inhaling deeply, his dragon fully at peace. The words "I love you" were right on the tip of his tongue, but he knew it was too soon for that. He would have to hold them in just a little while longer. "I'm fond of you, too," he whispered in her ear. <><><><><><><><> Skylar lived her life in fear. Fear of exposure, fear of herself, and fear of her future. As a princess and heir to the kingdom, her future was daunting enough. The fact that she turned into dragon and would be killed if anyone found out made it all the worse. So, Skylar lived in constant conflict with the beast within her, all while training to be queen one day. When a fellow king discovers her secret, she is forced to flee or put her entire family in danger. When she meets Orion, the Alpha of a dragon clan, he helps open up a whole new world to her. In this new world, Skylar discovers who she is supposed to be and what she's been hiding from. She finds the beauty of her beast and a love she only ever dreamed of. But then her new world is threatened. It becomes a matter of kill or be killed, so Skylar's new family, with the help of her old, must rise to the challenge to defeat this threat. Glass Magic
Glass magic, the weakest of magic, the most fragile, the least effective. Those with it always end up with aide or aid class and a relief type. They were the ones to deal with the aftermath of war, helping those that had already severed their kingdom and those that had yet to come of age. They never face actual war, never risking their life as it was not a life worth risking. It was hardly a life. Now, there are also classes that seem limited to certain standing, take the rogue class for example; they are restricted to support and assassin types. Their sly personalities and abnormal magic perfect for stealing and stealth. Then lead types seem bland, always the same people, warrior class, elemental magic, blah blah blah. Though humans are uncommon within the lead types it's not as if one had heads turning in disbelieve. Uncommon but not rare. Boring really. Everyone's always so restricted with their magic, type, class, and rank, and yet... She exists. A magic so fragile she shouldn't even be allowed in war, a class that doesn't match her personality, and a type that clearly doesn't belong to her. The only thing that seemed to be correct was her rank, F, the lowest. I wonder... Will she thrive with her standing? Or with she burn in the chaos of it? Why don't we find out? There are two types of vampires, the good and the bad. A world where vampires are mixed with humans, vampires control humans, killing innocent humans. The royals can't do anything about this, as it is their son Aspen and his friends. One day Aspen comes along a girl named Skylar, does he kill her the very instant he sees her or do they fall in love? -------- I stood there, looking at all the drained bodies. Yes, I am a vampire, in fact I am the prince of vampires. I cleaned the blood of my mouth with my sleeve and walked away towards my house. This feels wrong, killing these worthless humans but at the same time it feels so good, this is what I do for a living. Vampires were born to kill humans, right? That is why we have fangs, right? No one can change my mind about this, not even my mother. ------- Skylar is an innocent girl who has her whole life planned out, meeting the perfect guy, getting married, having children and then slowly dying together. Never did she think she would be the mate of a vampire, not just any vampire, he's the prince and also the bad boy. Aspen is the bad vampire, doesn't care what happens around him, and doesn't care about life. That is until he meets his mate, he never thought that he would be paired with a human, when he doesn't like them but he learns to give in.
