Feel free to give me your criticism so I know how to be better in the future. Also: If a sequel is written, expect a mix of drama shake things up. This is my take on ShikaTema. Temari moves to Konoha and is trying to find her place in new city she calls home. She is encountered with many inexplicable situations. Does fate have to do anything with this or is it irrelevant? This is a romance filled with comedy. The story is set 2 years after the war and their years are unchanged (Temari is 22, Shikamaru and Konoha's twelve are 19). Neji is alive in this one. TW This a slow-burn that might get M-rating later. Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters.

The story unfolds seven months after the Fourth Shinobi War, and it's Temari's first time coming to Konoha during the start of peacetime. Shikamaru is assigned to be her escort as per usual, but this time things are a little different. After their unexpected first kiss, the two shinobi start to develop feelings for one another and neither knows what to do. Temari is the princess of Sunagakure with two overprotective brothers and a nagging administrative council, and Shikamaru is simply her escort who is in training to be the next advisor of the newly appointed Sixth Hokage. Apparently, their relationship could never work... publicly, that is. Will they overcome their doubts, risk destroying their friendship, and fall in love all in utmost secrecy?
