Salem has been a test subject for Advanced Weapons Development Institution (AWDI) for a long, long time. In fact, 14 years. Every day he is "trained" to fight better, faster and smarter. After the so-called training, he gets tested to see how fast he can solve puzzles. No not jigsaw puzzles, things like puzzle boxes, puzzle games and things like that. A group of activists who were after the group, known as Rose Shifter Shelter (RSS), interrupt a session and saves Salem. After so long of being treated like a weapon, not eating right and- well horrible living conditions, someone needs to teach Salem how to live normally. So RSS gives Salem to Black Blood Pack to see if they can save Salem.

Astren City, and all surrounding area, have the highest crime rate in the northern part of the country.
