Arisa's father left very long ago, leaving her alone with her mother. Very soon after Arisa's mother dies of depression, and Arisa finds herself alone in the woods, with nothing but a necklace her father had given her, and a sword from a man who died in the forest.

Ten years later Arisa is famous for being a "guardian spirit". The problem is, she's not much of a people person, and no one knows who she really is. And that's just the way she wants to keep it. But after she meets a witch out in the woods, she finds out the secret to her pet dragon, Riko, she finds herself on a journey with 3 other people to save the world. Sure, she has the talent to be a hero, but does she even want to be?

And why does the cause of the end of the world's name sound so familiar?

And what is the secret behind the necklace her father gave her?

Lucy Caldwell suffered a disaster in her childhood - her house was burnt, which turned fatal for her parents. She grew up in a children's house together with other orphans. She could never forget the fire incident and was sure her parents were murdered, so she always wished to investigate the case when she grew old enough. Lucy, like all the other children, frequents the Spirit School, where children are taught to control their inner spiritual energy. When they reach 15 years of age, they befriend spirits that reside in the vast Spirit Forest in East Land and receive the Bond Item - an object from them which permits them to summon their friends whenever they're in need. Each person is able to form a bond with a single spirit. However, there are certain spirits that never approach humans, are known as man-eaters and have marked severe borders on their territory, eating anyone who trespasses on them. Such is the clan of the tailed foxes - the Huli. Lucy has already reached 15 years, so she goes together with her classmates to the Spirit Forest to befriend a spirit and bond with them. However, while sitting around a bonfire and listening to her classmates' scary stories, she remembers the dreadful day of how her house caught fire in past and, worked up, she rushes off into the depths of the forest to cry off her anguish. But as elders often say, dense forests are definitely not a place for little children to run around, for the danger lies in every corner, as Lucy soon comes to realise... -- The ebook version of "The Guardian Spirit" is available on amazon.com. for $0.99 on the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FSRWVMZ -- The Paperback version is available on amazon.com. on the link: https://www.amazon.com/Guardian-Spirit-Guardians-Nine-Heavens/dp/1717875971/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=
Who will Arise? by MashBap

Waking up face down in mud sucks any day of the week. But coming around in the sludge of a strange realm...? Well, that just redefines a bad day altogether. Trapped in an unfamiliar world, sixteen-year-old Quinn is frustrated that none of the strange Tree People appreciate his urgency to get back home to earth. Now he is faced with a choice that could change the course of his life: escape and find his own way home, or stay and help them find the cause of the poison ravishing their world. When the mind-reader unlocks one of the ancient mysteries of the Tree People it points to the only way of saving them from annihilation: they have to find the Power of Light. What exactly that means, the mind-reader doesn't reveal, but his next warning comes as a shock to all present: finding the mysterious Power of Light can only be done with the help of the dangerous enemy tribe whom they once called family. Quinn soon finds himself a little more entangled in the lives of these gifted beings than he'd care to be. Especially after meeting Jazz: the feisty girl from his world who seems to be a regular visitor to the world of Zoay. To Quinn's constant frustration, the aqua-eyed pixie makes it clear that she's not there to make friends. On their journey they'll brave bizarre encounters in dangerous alien forests, while sacrificing pride and will for the survival of all. Along the way Quinn finds more than he ever thought to seek: purpose, fulfillment and love. When the Power of Light is finally found a devastating discovery is made: if all of Zoay-including their enemy-want to live and prosper, one must be willing to sacrifice their life.

CURRENTLY EDITING "You belong to me - completely. I can do whatever I want to you, and no one can tell me otherwise. You're mine, Chisa Hatori; my little Starling..." I start sobbing, shaking my head frantically, rejecting the terrible truth. I thrash in his arms, trying to get away. Joseph laughs at my efforts, only tightening his grip until I can't move. The fingers of his right hand find my chin, forcing me to turn my head to the right. My blurry sight is greeted by his cool grey eyes, my stomach churns. He presses his forehead against mine - the mere physical contact has me shaking. "Do you know why the fae call you, The Alchemist's Starling?" I can't answer him... I'm lost in my own emotions. "The fae can sense you," he continues, "just as they can sense Alchemists. They saw your unique, purple locks fluttering in the wind when we went outside together - like the wings of a Starling. Of course, their kind adore you, and loathe us Alchemists. The fact that they cannot have you, makes them sad. Of course, because they saw you with me - they recognised that you were mine." Someone help me... Save me from him... ***** Chisa Hatori has had a hard life. Her father left, she watched her mother die, she was torn away from her sister and placed in foster care. Chisa is gifted; she has the Sight... and she is a Sleigh Beggy. However, she views her blessing as a curse, seeing terrifying monsters wherever she goes. OC-SI Reincarnated as Roxy. Roxy wasn't always Roxy. Once, she was a broke college student who spent way too much time watching cartoons than she should have, until naturally everything went to shit and she died. Now she's a character she didn't even like that much in one of those cartoons, and she's left with a choice; she can either A, be a good little cliche fanchild and try to be as helpful to the Winx Club as possible, or B, shamelessly abuse the fact she has both foreknowledge AND highly powerful magic to make the most of her new life free from her previous burdens, doing whatever the fuck she wants for shits and giggles. She chooses option B. (Or in which, Roxy is unhinged, the plot is in shambles, the Winx Club and Trix are guys for some reason, Valtor is extremely confused, plot holes get filled, Riven gets appropriately dunked on and Faragonda is driven to alcoholism. Extreme crack ahead, tread with caution)
