Dee loves her life, if only everyone else could just stop changing things. Last year, she had a best friend who went everywhere with her, a lovely home where her nan cooked her favourite pancakes, and a perfect score in all of her modules.
Now? Anna has moved to France, her nan is in a nursing home and the only person who seems to notice her is Lucy Scott, the confident, annoying girl who has just joined her course.
Not knowing who to turn to Dee is struggling to keep afloat in a world that doesn't seem to want to let her in, and the only thing she has to keep her going is her work at her dream job (the local bookshop) and a healthy sense of panic.
She needs to pass this degree, but now she's been partnered with Lucy for her final project - could her luck get any worse?
